Seventeen places made up in the drive of the day.
Tempe, Arizona, 4/2/2000. Scott Racing just completed our first major S!KUSA event, the Phoenix ProMoto Tour with an exciting finish to a tough weekend. Carl Scott, driving his 1999 KGB Intruder with 80cc Honda Power by Superdyne, sliced through the traffic in the 23 lap main event, advancing 17 places from his 31st place starting position. Having earned a higher starting place, but not being allowed to assume it by race officials, Carl put the pedal to the metal and gave the KGB its best ride ever. Lapping quicker than he qualified, he passed at the start, down the straight and in the corners as well as taking advantage of other racers misfortune to advance towards the front. Although largely unnoticed due the terrific race for the lead, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing everything come together in the final.
